The University of Stavanger wholeheartedly supports the condemnation of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

– We are shaken by the attack and feel strongly with our Ukrainian students and staff, who have family and friends in the war zones, says rector Klaus Mohn.
He emphasizes that the condemnation is directed at Putin and his regime.
– We have Russian employees, friends and students who are now in a difficult situation. It is important that we take care of everyone who is directly affected by this war, Mohn says.
There are 14 students with Ukrainian citizenship at the University of Stavanger and also some Ukrainian employees.
