Data- and Information Management (BDS210)
This course has a focus on information as a strategic resource, and it provides insight into how to obtain, structure, share, utilize and protect information The students will be introduced to the fundamentals of data, information, knowledge and insight, and the relationships between them. They will learn how to govern information and be introduced to concepts of "data management", "information management", "knowledge management", and "business intelligence". They will also learn about data and information security, and GDPR. All of this will be put into a service management context.

Content
Part 1; Examines the role of data and information as an organizational resource.
Part 2; Investigates the development of data and information management in organizations, including a look at data management trends and the roles and responsibilities of new positions such as Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Chief Analytics Officer (CAO).
Part 3; Focuses on how to organize the management of data and information within organizations.
Part 4; Takes a closer look at the role of data and information management in digitalization strategies and digital transformation.
