We aim to answer following RQ: How to enable the eco-system to ensure diffusion of responsible digital innovations in welfare sector?

In any innovation ecosystem there are two key questions – are all the relevant players represented and do they work well together?
This WP identifies motivations of different stakeholders within the eco-system and suggest collaborative business models for “free innovation”, in particular it will assist user-inspired innovative micro businesses to generate value in collaboration with system providers, municipalities and healthcare providers to generate socially desirable outcomes.

- The application refers to the shared value business models.
- WP3 aims to identifying the conditions under which responsible innovation and user interests can be kept in the procurement processes in the innovation eco-system. These procurement processes are an entanglement of laws and regulation, norms and procedures and established knowledge that are forming an “institutional wall”
- Field work: Interviews, stakeholder analysis and participant observation
- Suggesting evaluation criteria for innovations and a ‘shared value’ business model for partnership
- Help implement criteria for innovations and models for partnership
- Analysis and description of methods and techniques used (produce scientific papers)
This is a potential theme for a deliverable in our project:
- Norwegian approval procedure being developed by Helsedirektoratet and Legemiddeltilsynet.
This system distinguished between three categories of applications/products:- Applications and products for people that are well
- Applications and products for those in need of health-monitoring at home
- Applications and products for predicting your medical condition; «medical devices»
- NSCC may be given the role as an operator of parts of this scheme.
- There is EU-directive under development
- Aim: Relatively simple applications that could assist in this area without being integrated with the larger E-journal systems considered now.

This is a potential theme for a deliverable in our project:
- There is a dilemma of financing equipment for elderly care through framework agreements with the public sector and to be open and flexible with regard to innovating SMEs access to this market. The dilemma is about choosing between a subsidised low price system that all can afford, and a system which allows inventors to improve and adapt products to users’ needs, making the system more peer-to-peer and more demand-driven.
