As a generalist and firm believer and practitioner of range (Epstein, 2021), Lukasz Andrzej Derdowski, Associate Professor in Service Management, is inspired by a call to combine knowledge and experience from multiple domains to explore and foster solutions to, for instance, wicked societal problems. Lukasz is one of the contributors to the course Creative Expectations of the Future (Kreative forventninger til fremtiden) E-MTN103.
As a scholar, Lukasz Derdowski is interested in understanding the very nature of workplace sustainability-digitalization-leadership transitions nexus and its implications for contemporary and future businesses and institutions of all kinds.
On top of that, Lukasz is a dedicated research methodologist who is applying and integrating various action-based educational methods, like, futures literacy labs, challenge-based learning, and design thinking into university courses and programmes. For several years, Derdowski has been teaching both bachelor and master students about the principles of social science research methodology. At the moment, Lukasz is also holding a part-time position at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences as an Associate Professor in Statistics.
In 2023, Lukasz became an Associate in the UNESCO Chair on Leadership, Innovation and Anticipation initiative to support the delivery of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals - and beyond.
Lukasz is one of the contributors to the course Creative Expectations of the Future (Kreative forventninger til fremtiden), for the Master's in Transformation and Innovation (Master i transformasjon og nyskaping).
