What are your current work tasks?
I'm doing courses at ph.d.-level, writing papers, participating at national and international conferences and immersing in exciting literature related to risk science.
How do you use the knowledge gained through your master study in your work?
Because I am doing a ph.d. in risk management, the things I learned through my master study constitutes an essential foundation of knowledge on some of the most fundamental topics within risk science. Having this solid groundwork has been a valuable advantage when diving into some of the more advanced topics of the field.
What motivated you to apply for a study programme in risk at the University of Stavanger?
When I finished my bachelor's degree at another university, I was advised by my supervisor (who knew that I had a particular interest in risk management) that University of Stavanger was an excellent place to pursue this interest.
Why would you recommend studying risk at the University of Stavanger?
First of all, you are given the opportunity to study risk analysis in one of the most internationally acknowledged research environments within this discipline. Having some of the most prominent and outstanding scientists as your lecturers and supervisors, is a unique chance to be close to, and part of, the development of risk as a science.
Secondly, according to my experience, the teachers and supervisors are genuinely passionate about their field, and have a great ability to engage and inspire their students.
