All programmes must be periodically evaluated every five years. The programme is evaluated according to current laws and national regulations, as well as additional criteria decided by UiS.
The evaluation is completed by an expert committee consisting of representatives from the academic environment, representatives from the administrative staff, external peers, representatives from industry, and students. The evaluation lays the foundation for re-accreditation of the programme. The education committee decides the guidelines for evaluation and re-accreditation of all yearly studies and degree-programmes, including study offers included in the EVU-portfolio. The committee also makes decisions regarding re-accreditation of all degree-programmes. The dean decides similar guidelines for shorter studies not included in degree-programmes, such as continuing educations. The dean makes decisions regarding the re-accreditation of these studies.
a) Periodical study programme evaluation
