Changes and updates may occur after publication. It is emphasized that this is not a complete overview. Individual faculties may have their own regulations and guidelines which are taken into consideration in the evaluation of individual cases.
Formal deadlines
The deadline for withdrawal from exams is usually 14 days before the date of the exam (7 days for postponed exams/resits).
1 September:
- Deadline for semester registration for the autumn semester
- Deadline for the payment of semester fee for the autumn semester
- Deadline for application for adjustments in exams in the autumn semester
- Deadline for application to study abroad in the following spring semester
20 January:
- Deadline to register for a new/postponed exam for autumn courses
1 February:
- Deadline for semester registration for the spring semester
- Deadline for the payment of semester fee for the spring semester
- Deadline for application for adjustments in exams in the spring semester
- Deadline for application to study abroad in the following autumn semester
1 April:
- Deadline to withdraw from registration for bachelor's thesis/master's thesis
1 August:
- Deadline to register for a new/postponed exam (resits) for spring courses
Pets on campus
The guidelines for pet ownership at the University of Stavanger are tailored to meet the requirements for cleanliness and allergy issues among staff and students.
It is not permitted to bring pets into campus buildings. The prohibition on pets is justified by consideration for individuals with allergies and aims to contribute to a favorable physical work environment for all groups of students and staff.
Exceptions are made for special needs (guide dogs/seeing-eye dogs).
