As a part of the strategic priorities to improve the program’s quality and relevance, we seek to gain expert input from stakeholders from the business, societal and academic communities. One of the vehicles is the designated Program Advisory Board.
Board objectives
The MSB Program Advisory Board comprises external stakeholders whose objective is to provide input to the MSB program committee regarding:
- Strategic planning, directions, and actions of the program
- High-level discussion on program curriculum and work–life relevance
- Creating an innovative curriculum
- Development of skills and mindsets of students to meet future business environment
- Creating relevant and attractive career opportunities for students
- Global perspectives on business and business education
Board members
Marianne Ø. Nordgård is the HR Director in SKAGEN Funds, where she started in 2010. She has previously worked in the energy industry and in NGOs. She holds a degree in Economics and Psychology from the University of Bergen, in addition to executive education from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, she grew up in Norway, The Netherlands, Oman and Australia. Marianne has over the years held several board positions, been a guest lecturer, visited many universities in Norway and abroad, and is passionate about the interfaces between investments, science, innovation, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Ingvild Meland is the Strategy and Communication Director at Nysnø, where she started in 2021. She was previously Vice President and Program Director for the global energy meeting place, ONS, with responsibility for strategy, content production, and network building. She has more than ten years of experience from the energy industry through various roles related to energy market analysis, strategy, and license follow-up in Petoro and Eni Norway. Meland has a master’s degree in business from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) with a specialization in economics. Ingvild has experience with board work from several industries and is Honorary Consul for Finland in Stavanger. In Nysnø, Ingvild works with strategy and business development, communication, and public relations.
Blombäck has been employed by Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) since 1998. Besides teaching and research, since 2005 she has experience from several management positions and assignments, most recently as Associate Dean of Strategic initiatives (2019–2021). Previously she has also been Associate Dean of Education 2013–2019, Interim Dean and Managing Director (Feb – Aug 2016), Director of Studies (2012–2013), Programme Coordinator (2011–2012), and deputy Department Head (2008–2009). Since 2013 Blombäck holds the overarching responsibility for JIBS national and international accreditations. She is engaged in international accreditation by acting as a reviewer for EFMD. During the period 2018–2021 she served on the Accreditation Board for "EFMD programme accreditation".
Atle Riskedal has 15+ years experience related to innovation and collaboration projects through organizations like Validè, BlueLeap and Vekstpartner. His main focus is building regional ecosystems for innovation and growth, where access to funding is crucial. He has been involved in several innovation clusters like Vital Infrastructure Arena, Nordic Edge Smart City Innovation Cluster and Norwegian Smart Care Cluster. He also has been involved in establishing a catapult centre (part of Norwegian catapult centres) within manufacturing technology in Jæren and capital structures for startups (StartUp Invest and the foundation Lokalkapital Jæren)
Michel Eid is originally from Lebanon, and has lived and worked in several countries before moving to Norway. He holds a Ph.D. from Ecole Polytechnique (France) and has work experience from various industries and in Fortune Global 500 corporate to mid-size companies and startups. Michel is currently responsible for the Digital Development and SW Engineering in the Stavanger office at Laerdal Medical. He has a genuine interest in learning about people and new cultures, and passionate about technology, innovation, strategy, and business. He shares the belief that: learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets – Leonardo da Vinci.
