The Swedish Corona Commission released its report on February 24. Associate professor Anders Åkerman at UiS Business School was one of the researchers who worked on the economic part of the commission. Åkerman worked on analysing the recession and the efficiency of the economic policy that was introduced to mitigate the crisis.
The Swedish government enacted a special Corona commission in 2020, and tasked it with analysing the impact of the Corona virus on Sweden, and also evaluating the government’s response. On February 24 the final report was published.
Anders Åkerman was one of the researchers who worked on the economic part of the commission, and you can read the report here. Åkerman worked on chapters 4 and 5, which deal with the nature of the economic recession and the efficiency of economic policy introduced to mitigate the crisis.
