Learning outcome
- To understand the consept of programable logical control and where/when to use it.
- To be able to understand hardware logic scheme and implement a corresponding PLC-code.
- Get an introduction to 3-phase systems
- To be able to configure motors accourding to hardware control logic scheme and control them using hardware equipment (relays).
- To be able to use PC-software for developing PLC-code using ladder (LD) and structured text (ST) for a given control problem. Define and use functions (F) and function blocks (FB),
- After this course, the student shall understand the concept of PLC-programing.
- Understand different kind of motors.

Coursework requirements
10 laboratory exercises. 7 out of 10 must be approved.
6 theoretical excercises. 4 out ot 6 must be approved.
Mandatory work demands (such as hand in assignments, lab- assignments, projects, etc) must be approved by subject teacher within the specified deadlines
Completion of mandatory lab assignments are to be made at the times and in the groups that are assigned and published. Absence due to illness or for other reasons must be communicated as soon as possible to the laboratory personnel. One cannot expect that provisions for completion of the lab assignments at other times are made unless prior arrangements with the laboratory personnel have been agreed upon.
Failure to complete the assigned labs on time or not having them approved will result in barring from taking the exam of the course.
