From January 1st 2020, the University of Stavanger (UiS) starts using a new portal for the appointment of external censors and the assignment of specific censorship contracts
The new portal entails a complete digitalization of these processes, as well as the payment itself (except for reimbursement of travel expenses).
This means that our censors will first receive an email notification with a request for appointment as a censor for a three-year period. This email contains a link to the portal, a user name and a password. The censor checks and approves the personal data and data on the appointment.
Next, a specific censorship assignment will be awarded. This process is similar from the censorĀ“s point of view; i.e. logging on to the portal on the basis of an email notification, verification of personal data and approval of assignment/contract.
Reporting of the censorship is also done via the portal. Again, the starting point is an email alert to the sensor as soon as the system is open for reporting.
These operations only take a few seconds to perform.
The advantage for our censors is that the whole process, from appointment to payment, becomes more logical and orderly, as well as simpler and faster. E.g. the payment of the remuneration will go a lot faster. Personal data is remembered by the system, so it only has to be recorded once. Finally, the risk of errors occurring during the process will be significantly reduced. In this way, UiS aims to become an even better contracting partner.
