Sebastian S. Sandgren er Førsteamanuensis i idrettsvitenskap, leder av FoU-utvalget ved Institutt for grunnskolelærerutdanning, idrett og spesialpedagogikk og leder for programområdet for forskning - "Active for Life" ved Universitetet i Stavanger. Han har en Ph.D. i idrettspsykologi fra Loughborough University (UK), og i dag forsker Sandgren hovedsakelig på spiseforstyrrelser, muskeldysmorfi og mental helse både i og utenfor idretten.
